Board Member Recruitment 〰️
The Iowa Balance of State CoC recruits board members annually. The recruitment process takes place from January -February, for terms starting April 1 each year.
The 2026 Board recruitment process is now closed.
During board recruitment, we seek applicants who are passionate about using their skills to support and uplift all those experiencing homelessness.
The IA BoS CoC recognizes that the voices of people with lived experience are essential to designing and implementing an effective homelessness response system. Individuals with lived experience are highly encouraged to apply.
Applications are reviewed and considered by the Membership Task Group of the CoC Board. The recommended slate of candidates will be taken to the CoC board meeting in March for approval. You will be notified of your application status after the March Board meeting.

The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) and the Institute for Community Alliances (ICA) collaborated to have Housing Innovations staff, Matt White, complete a needs assessment of people experiencing homelessness throughout Iowa and identify service strategies and resources to address homeless.
