Join us at the FY26 Grant Applicant Training for the IA BoS CoC Local Competition! This meeting will focus on new and renewal applications for the local competition and is open to the public for all to attend.

Training grant applicants is important to support in how to clearly explain project goals, match proposals with what HUD and the CoC are looking for and improve chances of getting funding needed for meaningful projects.

YHSI Learning Series: OneIowa
This training explores the intersection of youth homelessness and LGTBQ+ identities.
OneIowa is a state-wide LGBTQ+ advocacy organization that focuses on the needs of LGBTQ+ Iowans. This training with OneIowa will provide foundational and functional curriculum focused on serving the LGBTQ+ community.
Homelessness disproportionately affects LGTBQ+ youth, particularly transgender and nonbinary people. As part of the training series dedicated to Youth Homelessness System Improvement (YHSI), OneIowa is bringing this training to Polk County prior to statewide implementation.
Join service providers, community partners, and advocates to learn more about how to best support LGBTQ+ youth navigating homelessness or housing insecurity.

The Iowa Balance of State CoC 2026 Annual Meeting is focused on strengthening our homeless response system across the state of Iowa.
Topics include:
system updates and opportunities for increased partner engagement
meaningful involvement of people with lived experience
a look at how we are performing statewide
the launch of our Housing Problem Solving initiative
progress on our strategic plan,
and any relevant federal funding updates
CoC Grantees are required to send at least one staff member to attend this meeting!
CoC Funded Projects and partners are encouraged to invite their community partners to attend our annual meeting! Community partners will gain timely insights into the housing and homeless services system, strengthen cross-sector collaboration, and leave better equipped to align local efforts to end homelessness across Iowa.
